About Homeless Directory

Homeless Directory is a free, easy-to-use directory of resources for people experiencing — or at risk of — homelessness across the United States. We organize help geographically (United States › state › city) and by category, so you can quickly find shelter, food, health care, crisis lines, and other services near you.

If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For a mental-health crisis, call or text 988. For local help 24/7, dial 211.

What we do

We gather and organize publicly available information about homeless-services providers and national resources, and we accept submissions from organizations that serve this community. Every listing aims to include the essentials: name, what they offer, address, phone, hours, and a website where available.

What we are not

We are a directory — we provide information to help you find services. We do not operate shelters or provide services directly, and we are not an emergency service. Hours and availability change often, so please call ahead to confirm before traveling.

Accuracy

We work to keep information correct and review submissions before they appear, but we cannot guarantee that every detail is current. If you find something out of date, or you run a service and want to add or correct a listing, please submit an update.

Help us grow

If your organization helps people experiencing homelessness, add your resource so more people can find you. It's free.
